Defrag 1.91.17 quickfixes

This version sports two fixes built on top of 1.91.16:
- fixed self-inflicted lag affecting world damage from brush contents (water, lava, ...)
- fixed game reporting the wrong physics type after failed attempt with the /vq3 and /cpm commands

Take extra care as the first change affects the gameplay.

Hello creator of the Defrag

Hello creator of the Defrag Mod for Quake 3, I run my own q3 frag server and i play defrag alot, Mostly offline. and i have seen the "/stats" command and would like to know if this can be modded into normal quake 3 arena like a small application, or a form of script. so servers, Like my own and people can check out the current stats list

I know the "/status" command, But i ment detailed information like defrag shows when completed a run and respawned. So that clients can type into console "/stats" and get a detailed stats list for the server they are on, like:

[Server Name Here]

Players Name - Postion - Acc - Shots Fired - Health Taken - Health Collected

Player 1 - First - 87 - 341 - 705 4,430
Player 2 - Second - 23 - 878 - 5,432 932

Or maybe /stat_playername and get a stats on that players nickname for the current server, like games played, avg acc, heath staistics, etc etc. With an adjustable config (or script file) that can be moded to the server owners need.
I have tried creating a script that dose this, But i failed :( - Just an idea i had, Let me know if it is possible :)

Well, in defrag it's the client that keeps track of those stats - so basically you can't tell what those stats are for the other players.

You should look into adding your own game.qvm module for that purpose, and add a client command (on the server) that allows players to retrieve their stats - or those of others.

A script won't have the same granularity - only some events are issued to the game log - but in concept that works too.

Well, I would but iam not a programmer, I can do basic quake 3 scripts, like getting it to wait after some time for an automatic server message. But as for game.qvm, i wouldn't be able to create my own and get it to do that, I have searched the net for something that can do this, But found nothing.

This item has no use in defrag. Maybe it is possible to modify it like that, that you can mark a destination where you want to be teleported after using it. Could be used in FS maps.

Is it possible to have some error output or a window with an error message if you: can't start a map, cl_autodownload is enabled and you get disconnected or any other error where you don't get any feedback in the console.

I worked on a tool like this after I made RMG but had not enough programming knowledge. Now I would say that its not a big deal to write such a program if you have time and the will to do so :)
Another questions is the necessity of a tool like this. If the defrag map browser gets an overhaul by cgg, that covers some basic features like sorting and maybe filtering by weapons, I would not use an external tool.

But a little tool that looks up the bsp's for textures and searches for them in other pk3's would be a good thing imho.
